1. The short version
We collect only what we need to sell you turf and get it to your door. We don't sell your data, we never see your full card details, and you can ask us at any time what we hold about you.
2. What we collect
- Order details — your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, and what you bought.
- Payment — handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. We receive confirmation that you paid and the last part of your card number for support purposes, never the full card details.
- Messages — if you contact us via Facebook Messenger, Instagram or Marketplace, we keep the conversation so we can help with your order.
- Basic site usage — standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) needed to run and secure the site.
3. Why we collect it
- To process and deliver your order.
- To send you order confirmations and delivery updates by email.
- To answer your questions and handle returns or warranty claims.
- To meet our legal obligations (tax and consumer law records).
We only send marketing if you've opted in, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
4. Who we share it with
- Our supplier and delivery partners — your name, delivery address and order details, so your turf can be cut and shipped.
- Service providers — payment processing (Stripe), hosting and database services, and email delivery. Each provider only receives what it needs to do its job.
- Authorities — only if the law requires it.
Some service providers may store data outside Australia. We choose reputable providers with appropriate safeguards.
5. How we protect it
Data is stored in access-controlled systems, encrypted in transit, and restricted to the people who need it to serve you. We keep order records for as long as Australian tax and consumer law requires, then delete or de-identify them.
6. Your rights
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. If you believe we've mishandled your information you can complain to us first, and to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you're not satisfied with our response.
7. Cookies
The site uses only the minimum necessary browser storage to run — for example, remembering your cart on your own device. We don't run third-party advertising trackers on this site.
